MUSTANGS WELCOME NEW HEAD COACH

The South Shore Mustangs are pleased to announce the hiring of Brad Muise as their new Head Coach. Muise succeeds Tyler Naugler, who has accepted a position as Assistant Coach with the AIS Dalhousie Tigers. Muise is well respected as a strong teacher of the game, excellent motivator, building solid hockey programs. That was evident in his tenure as Head Coach of the South Shore Bantam AAA team, leading them to Provincial Championship Tournaments in 2005 and 2006, wining the silver medal in 2006. In 2007 he joined the Mustangs as an Assistant Coach while serving as a regional scout for the MJAHL’s Halifax Wolverines. In 2008 Muise returned to the Bantam AAA program while also serving as Director of Hockey Operations for Hockey Scholars and involvement with HNS’s Under 15 High Performance Program. Muise is a graduate of Notre Dame Assumption School Hockey program winning three consecutive Provincial Championships. Joining Muise on the bench will be Paul McCallion and Jason Knickle. McCallion played 4 years in the OHL prior to suiting up with the Saint Mary’s Huskies. McCallion also played pro in Europe for a number of years and is also a former assistant coach of the Moncton Beavers of the MJAHL. Knickle is entering his third season with the team as goaltender coach and strength & conditioning coach.
