Mustangs fall short on weekend

The Taylor Flooring Major Midgets won 8-3 over the South Shore Mustangs Saturday in Bridgewater and 5-3 at the Dartmouth Sportsplex Sunday.

Saturday, Andrew Shewfelt, Jordan Wentzell and Alex MacDonald each scored two goals to lead Dartmouth to the win. MacKenzie Young and Austin Harding also scored,

Riley Donaldson, Alex Rawding and Alex Shaw scored for the Mustangs.

Brandon Dorrington was in goal for Dartmouth while Cole Skinner relieved starter Corey Peterson at the other end.

Sunday, Shewfelt led Dartmouth with two goals while Austin Harding, Lawrence Lyver and Nathan Sheppard added singles. Josh Worthen contributed a pair of assists. Dartmouth led 5-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Riley Strawbridge in the second and Riley Donaldson and Alex Nauss in the third scored for the Mustangs. Jordan Messenger supplied two assists.

Aaron Mantle was in goal for Dartmouth while Cole Skinner and Corey Peterson split duties for the Mustangs.
