Mustangs blank Wolfpack 7-0

The South Shore Canadian Tire Mustangs defeated the Cole Harbour Wolfpack 7-0 last night at the Bridgewater Memorial Arena.

Avery Clarke continued his hot NSMMHL play, scoring his 2^nd hat trick in as many games and third in last 4 games.  Clarke now has 9 goals in his last 4 NSMMHL games and sits tied for the league scoring lead.

The Mustangs also got some added scoring from the blue line last night with Robert Patterson, Kristian McMenemy and Alex Mann scoring  Jamie McIntyre had a goal and an assist in the win.  Jamie Blair added 4 assists in a solid outing and Brennan Bailey chipped in with 3 assists.  Brandon Challoner and Brendan Nickerson each had multiple point games with 2 assists each. 

The Mustangs powerplay was very sharp scoring 5 times with the man advantage.

Cory Peterson took the win in goal stopping all 40 shots he faced while Jason Ellis took the loss stopping 36 of 43 shots faced.  Peterson now sits third in the NSMMHL with a GAA of 1.93.

Next up for the Mustangs is a battle in Dartmouth Thursday night when they take on the Dartmouth Ice Dawgs at 6:30pm at the Sportsplex
