Mustangs finish Monctonian with 2-1-1 record

The South Shore Canadian Tire Mustangs finished the Monctonian with a record of 2-1-1.  After going undefeated in the round robin and tied for the 2nd best record in the tournament the Mustangs were forced to play a wild card game on a 2 hour turnaround after a tough 2-2 draw with a very strong St Johns Privateers squad due to a goals for/against ratio that gave Halifax the division win.  The Titans finished at a +8 while the Mustangs finished +5.

Overall a successful weekend as many of our players drew interest from Major Jr, Jr A and Prep schools and the Mustangs held their own with some of the best teams in the Atlantic Provinces.

A positive note for the NSMMHL as all teams qualified for atleast one cross over game showing the strength of the league.

Congratulations to the Halifax Titans on capturing the tournament banner with a 3-2 win over Fredericton in the final.

The Mustangs are back in action this Wednesday when they travel to Cole Harbour.
