Mustang Minute - Summer Updates

Congrats to former Mustang forward Braden Mercier on recently signing with the Spruce Grove Saints of the AJHL.

Former Mustang goaltender Evan Deviller has a scholarship in hand to attend RMC this fall and suit up for the Paladins hockey team in the highly competitive CIS hockey ranks. Congrats Evan and good luck!

Current Mustang forwards Jamie Blair and Connor Hirtle will head to Elmsford, NY in early August to attend the Omaha Lancers, USHL prospect camp. Good Luck guys!

Congrats to Ryan Shay on winning the overall fitness combine this past weekend and the title of Mr. Mustang Fitness Summer 2011.  Ryan finished 3rd overall in the Beep test, 1st in pushups, 4th in situps, 4th in grip strength, 6th in long jump, 12th in the medicine ball toss, and 2nd overall in the shuttle cross pickup.  Winners of the individual tests were as follows:

Beep Test: Christian Tufts Level 11/8
Timed Pushups: Ryan Shay 82
Timed Situps: Christian Tufts 67
Grip Strength: Spencer Adams 59
Standing Long Jump: Connor Hirtle 100 inches
Medicine Ball Toss: Avery Clarke 260 inches
Shuttle Cross Pickup: Alex Mann 12.50 seconds
