The Canadian Tire Mustangs have partnered with the Bridgewater Minor Hockey Association to mentor and coach the IP1 program for this season. Each practice a group of Mustangs will teach the young hockey players the basics of hockey, from skating, to stickhandling and shooting while making their hockey experience a positive and enjoyable one.

Assistant Coach Jason Knickle thought of the idea when he was told that the IP1 program did not have a full time coach. "I felt this would be a great way to get our guys out into the community and truly feel how rewarding it is to coach and mentor young future Mustangs! The Association and the parents have been great so far, and we are looking forward to helping these mites improve and have fun all year."

The IP1 team practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Bridgewater Memorial Arena.
