Sometimes motivational speeches are not necessary. Last night was the case when the Mustangs put on their work boots and hard hats and went to work grinding out a 2-1 win at Bridgewater arena.

Sometimes motivational speeches are not necessary.  Last night was the case when the Mustangs put on their work boots and hard hats and went to work grinding out a 2-1 win at Bridgewater arena.  The Mustangs blocked 32 shots and finished 97 hits in a game that was won on hard work and strong defense.  A real workmanlike effort.

Scoring for the Mustangs was Shaun McEachern and Brandon Verge with the game winner.  The Mustangs kept the Titans impressive powerplay at bay all night.   Heading into the game, Halifax had scored 19 of their 47 goals on the power play.

Billy Clarke was strong in goal stopping 34 shots for the win. Jacob Fancy stopped 24 in the loss.

The Mustangs are now 2-1-1-1 (Win-loss-OT loss-shoot out loss) in their last 5 outings

Next up for the Mustangs is a game at home on Saturday night (8:00pm) vs. Cole Harbour.
