The Canadian Tire Mustangs opened their exhibition season with a 6-1 win over the Valley Wildcats.
Scoring for the Mustangs were Brendan Nickerson (Goal and assist), Shaun McEachern (Goal and 2 assists), Brandon Challoner (Goal and assist), Jon Hatt (Goal and 2 assists) and Jagger Harnish and Ryan Graves. Billy Clarke played a period of shutout hockey as did Garret Fancy while Cole Skinner gave up the lone goal.
Shots on goal favored the Mustangs 59-20.
The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Bridgewater. Game time is 7:30pm
Currently 14 Forwards, 8 defenceman and 3 goalies remain in training camp.
