The Canadian Tire Mustangs split their two games against the Cape Breton Tradesmen on the weekend with a defensive gem and a offensive shoot-out. On Saturday, in Sydney Mines, the two teams were tied at one after two periods. The Tradesmen scored the only goal in the third to edge the Mustangs 2 - 1. Ben bailey was solid for the Mustangs turning aside 22 shots as the Mustangs outshot the Tradesmen 32 - 24. On Sunday, at Centre 200, it was all offence as the two teams combined for 16 goals in a 9 - 7 Mustang wi. The Mustangs twice rallied from two goal deficits and outscored the tradesmen 3 - 1 in the third period to take the game. The Mustangs outshot the tradesmen 38 - 28 with Ben Bailey, in relief of Colin Huskins, picking up the win in the Mustang net. jack Strowbridge paced the offence with five points on two goals and three assists.
