Mustangs welcome new head coach, Andrew Brown

Andrew Brown - Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations

The Charlies Pizza South Shore Mustangs are happy to welcome Andrew Brown of Timberlea, N.S. as the new head coach for our hockey club.

Bio for Andrew Brown:  
Andrew Brown, 44 years old, currently resides in Timberlea, N.S. with his wife Pamela and they have two children; Katelin and Aaron Brown.  He currently owns and operates his own Hardwood Flooring Company; Brown and Mitchell Hardwood Flooring Ltd.
 Andrew has coached many levels of hockey and has his High Performance Level 1 Coaching Certification.  He has coached at the Bantam AAA and Midget AAA Minor levels for the TASA Minor Hockey Association  before moving on to the NS Junior Hockey League as an Assistant and then Head Coach of the Bay Ducks and eventually an Assistant Coach  with the Sackville Blazers.
 Andrew later returned to dedicate his time and energy to the TASA Minor Hockey Association where his son and daughter were playing.   He has committed his time to coaching his children and in recent years has been a non-parent coach.  Further to coaching he has been involved in the Development Program at TASA, as well as, the VP of Competitive Hockey at the Executive level.  
His desire to develop players and dedication to the game of hockey has also made him the recipient of numerous awards. He is a 4 time recipient of the TASA Minor Hockey Association’s Competitive Coach of the Year Award, has coached several teams to Provincial Championships and was an Assistant Coach with the Bay Ducks that won the Atlantic Junior B Championship (Don Johnson Cup) in it’s inaugural year.
He is excited to be joining the Mustangs Program for the 2015-16 season and his passion for the game and desire to help young players develop for the next level will be evident this year. He is looking forward to stepping in where Brad left off.
