Miramichi push Mustangs to Limit

The Miramichi Rivermen were looking for two points to push through to a playoff spot while the Mustangs had a little work to get down on their own. The Mustangs got a favorable bounce early to go up one. The Rivermen killed off some penalties and a five on three to hold the Mustangs to within one. Then it happened, the Mustangs found themselves in a big penalty kill situation. Defending a five on three of their own, the Mustangs held the fort and maintained the one goal spread. Finally the Rivermen were able to pot one on the powerplay to knot the game at 1-1. Some good goaltending was there from Muise when we needed it most and today we were in need. Good teams find a way and collectively we were not at our best today but as they say the Stangs got er done!

The Mustangs will now face the tough Fredricton Canadians at 6:30pm. Keep your fingers crossed Mustangs fans as we look to extend our stay in Moncton!
